Even the best T2's will have trouble with the cave wolf when he has a very bad spawn.... don't feel bad if you cannot kill him.

The first thing I would suggest is trying to not aggro the shadow groups in front of the cave, as when they get into the cave they will kill the spiders you need the kill the wolf.
My second suggestion: patience, patience, patience and even more patience!
In (most) spawns the wolf will wander to the cave by himself.
When he gets close, pull him with a longbow (preferably one with +20% ench so you dont need to switch weps).

I don't know in which order you do t2 but this is mine:

Start > open forge > get slaves > get hunt (wait for the shadows to lose aggro before entering the cave) > kill cave wolf if he spawns very close to cave > kill beach wolf > another chance to kill wolf if he's closer > go to khobay(if the main team is almost done with forge wait and do restore first) > if I went to khobay > return to cave and kill wolf if he is close > de restore > wolf if he still isn't dead > send mage .

In 9/10 runs I'll need to send the mage when im done with restore, but just send him when t1 need it.

In that order I will have 4 chances to kill the wolf, 4 chances in which he can be closer to the cave.

Sometimes, there's a spawn where there's no way to get past the shadows without aggroing them, so they will kill most spiders in front of the cave.

In this case I would suggest the following: 1)get summoning stones 2) buy a max damage q9 earth staff with enchanting mod and auto attack him (with ward on while using sliver on recharge).
Pull the wolf out of the range of the shadow monks and use either option 1 or 2.
With option 1 it will go fast, option 2 will be slow but you will kill him.

My last piece of advise: take your time, most pug run are 25 min+ ( I assume you are doing pug runs). If you got a slow main team you can take your time for killing the cave wolf but finish all your other tasks first before focusing on wolf if he has a bad spawn.
If you got a good main team, let them kill the wolf. For a good main team it is less then 1 min of work.

Hope I helped a bit

Aah the legendary cave wolf ! It's pretty easy actually, many T2's/noobs are lately failing to kill it. It's 95/100 times, because they lead aggro into the cave causing the shadowarmy to kill the spiders.

Here is what I do: I'm comming from ToS and I take the quest The Hunt, than I go behind the questgiver so that most of the times I only got aggro of 4 shadowbeasts, u'll see 2 groups patrolling near the entrance of the cave, just wait till they both are running to the other side, so u will only lure in 4/5 shadowbeasts into the cave. To kill the cave wolf then, just pull him with a enchanted longbow and there you go.

As stated above pugruns take long time, T2 can be done within 15 minutes, so take your time! relax, you don't get ur chest earlier if ur faster done than mainteam, relax (: And look on youtube for t1 tutorial, follow it wisely, it isn't that hard. Then when ur playing t2, and t1 dies, try to cover his job, then u can practice it and later you can start from beginning as a t1.

Note that t2 build is different then t1 build since as t2 u got GoC, if ur coverring t1 u can't do ToS (only if you have pcons with you), but you can do the other jobs.

At my last advise, if ur exp to t2 change AoE with HoS, it speeds ur run up!

I'd recommend against that.

Since T2 in pugs is usually one of the faster jobs shaving some minutes of your time will not get you to the end chest any faster.

However T1 is prolly the hardest part of FoWSC (i.e. the part where the most fails occur) so being able to cover that is imo more important than finishing a little faster.

If you know the T1 is good feel free to take what you want, so you can go run griffs or farm^^.

Don't waste money on summoning stones for the cave wolf. A merchant stone + sliver + ebsoh is enough to solo him if he has a bad spawn. If he's really far away from the cave, don't bother trying to pull him in; instead, pull him closer to Nimros, then just charge him, ebsoh, sliver, pop merchant. He'll be dead in a few seconds. If he's close to the cave, then there's no real problem; just aggro him alone, then inch toward the cave slowly, then when he's not in aggro range of the Shadow patrols, sliver him down

there are a few different ways of doing it, but the most important thing to do is to avoid pulling the shadow groups into forge, when you are running to get hunt it is pretty easy to avoid the group patrolling between the cave entrance and the forge. The important thing to remember is that your sliver fuel when killing the cave wolf is doubter's dryders, they will follow you all the way from beach so by the time you have killed the beach wolf and run back you should have about 10 following you, then you can just wait outside the cave until the cave wolf is in a good spot to kill (no shadow groups nearby) and just run up and sliver him. If this fails remember that there are about another 5 doubter's dryders at the far end of the beach which you can use to try again (note that running up the beach to get them will spawn beach spawns for the main team.)
